If the seller is on the forum, please explain

I have an IfThisThenThat alert set up for my local Craigslist, when something CrossFit related gets posted, I get a text message. I was pretty excited to see that someone was selling an entire gym, and it must have EVERYTHING for $8000.

WFS listing of a CL ad for a home gym

I thought maybe it was a typo, so I checked ebay too. Here's the WFS link on ebay

discuss...

Is this really that great of a deal?

Here are the big items:
1 rower (about 1k)
2 bars and a few bumper plates (probably around 1k)
1 S3 squat stand ($500)
1 Airdyne (about $500)

That's only 3k.. the rest is all little things, wall balls, rings, kettle bells, some mats, belts, some ropes. Unless I missed something...Do you think it's worth $8,000??

That is an OK deal but not really that great. No GHD either I don't think.

I have ALL of everything that guy is selling in my garage too (and I bet a lot of others do as well). I am maybe $5K total into my garage after 5 years of buying/selling/upgrading. I have a nicer bar and more expensive bumpers as well.

I should post a picture with an inventory of what all I have one of these days.

Plus the AD is old....and AD3 without the upgraded monitor on it. That thing cost maybe $50 on CL

Looks like it's way overpriced to me. I bet if you sent that parts list to Rogue and got a custom quote they'd be happy to make you a deal on new equipment and it'd be a lot cheaper than 8k.

I should have stated.....I think this is an insane ripoff. If I was ever to make an offer on it,
I'd say maybe $2500, MAYBE.

Tighe, thanks for the link fix.

Yes, to clarify, I was implying this seems like way too much money.

Out of curiosity, if you get to keep them name, then that is worth something as well right? I am not an affiliate owner but know a few owners and I know that it is beneficial and money-saving if you get an affiliate transferred to you. Let's say they just repaid their yearly $3,000, then you save that money. And the one thing that you aren't considering which is the BIGGEST factor, is how many paying members they currently have. As the new owner, if you are coming into an affiliate with 70-100 paying monthly members, then the equipment cost is nothing. You ware really paying for the membership and if you are profitable right off the bat, then it may be a helluva deal

They are not selling a CF box, they are just selling gear. No name, affiliation or members.

As for the gear, not even close to 5k let alone 8
