Hi!

I just wanted to stick my head in and say hi because I actually just managed to find the forums...the message board link on CF main page is somewhat deceiving.

I've been running around BrandX forums for a while but I figured I'd start introducing myself on the big boards.

Also I'd like to share some good news because yesterday I received my ship date for US Army OCS - 20101019.
I was a little bummed that the soonest spot they had available was October but honestly its better than having nothing so I'm really excited to go and this extra time will hopefully give me enough time to finally do WOD's as RXed.

So HI!

On a side note anyone at UC Irvine let me know cause it would be nice to CrossFit with someone every now and again

Re: Hi!

Welcome, Kevin. And congrats on your OCS date. As a fellow OCSer (different branch, though), take my advice and enjoy your life as much as you can before you go. There are two timeframes in my life now, pre-military and everything since then.

I'll say this for the Army, they can teach you to shoot. Gave me a rifle, some instruction and a week later I'm pretty lethal with it (those targets were d-e-a-d, dead) and that's just iron sights...and a crappy rifle.

Re: Hi!

Welcome, Chad! I think you'll enjoy the "seen at the globo" and related threads. It's basically a requirement to read all the way through that thread to catch up Just kidding. It would be to your great amusement to do so, though.
