Crossfit Endurance forum? Please?

Since CFE is so closely related to crossfit.com, is there any way there could be a CFE forum here? Everyone on CFE is practically begging for one and there is a huge wealth of information that scrolls off the page every day.

Just curious.

Re: CrossFit Endurance forum? Please?

Wouldn't CFE be the place for that? Not an objection, just an inquiry.

Regards,
Lynne

Re: CrossFit Endurance forum? Please?

maybe there could be an "endurance" category, kind of like what cathletics does. I would actually like to see the subjects such as strength and endurance in their own categories on this board.

Re: CrossFit Endurance forum? Please?

I really don't see that much discussion of CFE here - maybe you guys can point me to what I'm missing?

Too many granular, lonely, empty subcategories is something I hate to see on a forum, so I'd like to see that there are more than the occasional discussion.

Thanks,
Lynne

I hear ya Lynne. My only issue is that "fitness" is such a broad term. It would be nice to isolate a few of the key ones.

But hey, this forum has worked pretty well the way it is for a while now. Don't fix what ain't broke I suppose.

Yeah, the "Fitness" forum is pretty all-over-the-place. The mod team is kicking the sub-forum idea around, so, while we're contemplating:
Strength Focus
Endurance Focus

Anything else for us to put on the table?

Regards,
Lynne

Re: CrossFit Endurance forum? Please?

There is certainly a huge demand for an endurance sub-forum on here and I would be so eternally grateful if it could be implemented.
There is a lot to be discussed with regards to Crossfit and endurance training and it just seems to fall through the cracks in the fitness forum.

Perhaps a military/LEO/firefighting-specific forum as well?

There is a precedent for these already with the Crosspit forum, which I would argue is actually less popular among these forums than those who are interested in endurance, strength, or military/LEO/FF training.

Sounds good, Lynne! I do think we could have more focused discussions with the sub-forums.

I suppose it makes the most sense to go by the 10 domains. Since that's way too many sub-categories, maybe they could be broken up like so:

Strength/power
Endurance/stamina (Encompasses both short efforts and LSD)
Speed/agility
Balance, coordination, and accuracy

I didn't include flexibility because:

1. Doesn't seem to fit in with the other categories
2. Doesn't seem to warrant a category of its own
3. Not a popular topic compared with the others

Hope this helps!

I'm interested in flexibility as a way of preventing injury, and I don't talk about it much as no-one else seems to either! I think it could be chucked in with the final group without too many problems.

Strength and endurance would be good, but maybe still a little too general?
I was thinking about something like, Weightlifting, Gymnastic, Running/rowing.... just my 2 cent
