Re: My early birth day present/One year Crossfit present

Happy birthday and congrats on the rower!

My birthday is coming up in a couple of weeks and I think I'm going to buy myself a bar, some bumpers, and rings. I just started a couple weeks ago and right now I can only do the bodyweight exercises.

Have fun with your new toy!

Go with Wright Exercise in Birmingham. Best stuff at best prices. Email Jason Hughes at jhughes@wrightexercise.com for bumpers, bars, kb's, etc...

Re: My early birth day present/One year Crossfit present

You've been a good boy, and you got a nice present.

Enjoy your rower. I love my model B.

Watch the technique correction videos on the site. Disregard the "slouching, rolled back" stuff that Greg Hammond teaches. A lot of people here piled on that issue, and I find that they are right. A round back is never a good idea. The rest of Greg's, and Angela's stuff is very helpful.

I am not stroking as fast as I was before I corrected things, but I am going farther, and therefore doing more work in less time. Before I corrected, I liked the rower, but did not understand the high esteem it gets for being a tough training tool. I get it now.

Rowing with good technique will beat your butt.

Thanks, and I have been a good boy!
Ya i've been rowing for awhile at the gym and a buddies house, I'm averaging
8:00 min for 2000 meters... I love it and so does my wife so thats good... Ha I can't get off this thing!!!! love it!
I'm defiantly one of the people that believes that the back should not be rounded! I've tryied that way after watching his video and my neck was stiff for a week....
