Re: Camille the newb

Great job on the bottom to bottom squats. They are no joke. I've done them with weights and I thought I was going to die.

Re: Camille the newb

Pant..pant.. with weights?

Funny- was just thinking of you as I walking lunged my way down my sidewalk! (30 lunges)

OK, I just did: 400m warm up run (wound up doing in 1:54)
200 meter run
another 400m in 1:54
200m walk home.
Barefoot, using Mapmyrun.com (WFS). There is at least a 5% grade for approx 100m+ (so would be out and back-up and down).
Previously, I did a 400m on the treadmill with timing issues, 2:07.
Should I count this for my Level 1? Or..should I go to a track and make abs. sure of the length? Happy to do either lol.
Btw...this thread: http://www.board.crossfit.com/showthread.php?t=33723 WFS helped my with my pacing strategy for the run.

Sweatin sweatin now! lol

Thanks for thinking of me Camille. I have not intentions of doing walking lunges up that hill again anytime in the near future. LOL.

What is the time to beat for the Level I? What I did was I started with a 400m jog then did my 400 m run. I was losing time waiting for the treadmill to get up to speed. The track is always better in my opinion, but it's too hot for all that right now.

Re: Camille the newb

Welllll folks.... Been doing some reading up on adrenal fatigue and as I sit here tired with cold hands in my office (which is 76 degrees), I am thinking... It's been 10 weeks since I took a week off. I was also reading this thread which says to do a 50% week every 4 weeks. http://www.board.crossfit.com/showth...drenal+fatigue
My diet is pretty darn good, and my sleep is about 8 hours a night.
My elbows are getting better, but still ache. Part of me is ready to go hammer, but I'd say 80% of me is ready to take a nap and rest.
So... hard as it is for me, I'm taking a week off.
Right after my lunchtime swim lol.

Well, I know you certainly deserve/need a break, so I understand and support your decision 100%. That being said...I'll give you 3 days max.
(Dang, but you better at least report in to us everyday)

I'm with Christin - I give you 3 days, max. As a personal challenge, why don't you see if you can make it through the long weekend?

Re: Camille the newb

Camille, I have been thinking the same thing! I think the last time I took more than 3 consecutive days off was in March! I've been feeling really run down lately though, and I think it's my body telling me it needs time to repair. I'm waiting until I go on vacation later this month so I'm not too antsy, even though that is probably too long to wait. I feel your pain - it's really hard to rest, but I think in the long run, it will help us become stronger. You better check in on the forum, though!
