Re: Camille the newb

CONGRATS on the 1/2 pullup! They've been my nemesis for some time now too. Every bit counts!

Re: Camille the newb

Thanks!! I tried a dead hang overhand and I got nuthin! lol
2 hr MA class tonight and then WOD. Dreading the towel pullups!
I ate about 8 blocks today, and bday cake for a coworker. The Daily Plate says I have about 300cals left to eat, but I won't sweat that. Class and WOD will help me burn a bit more than usual days.

Re: Camille the newb

I'm skipping today. Came home and found one of the ferrets stuck with his head between a shelf and wall in his cage-he died.
Didn't make it to class and now can't bring myself to do endless towel jumping pullups.

Scaled to BrandX Puppies:

Three rounds for time of:
Run 600 meters
15 Back Extensions
25 Sit-ups

18:38
Speeds of 6.3mph, 5.8mph, 5.9-6.1-6.4mph

My calories are not equaling enough blocks I think...

Camille... Sorry to hear about your ferret. You are zoning right? What makes you think you aren't eating enough?

Re: Camille the newb

Thanks for the condolences. Pets are great companions, I just hate it when they go.

Yes, I am zoning... I've been tracking my calories on TheDailyPlate and I should be eating around 1600 per day. I don't think my 10 blocks have added up to that. I've been kinda hit or miss this week with eating all of my blocks, so I'll have to try harder next week and see how it works out.
I don't even know how many blocks I ate yesterday-I'm sure it wasn't enough.
However, finally the scale has moved from 153-154 down to 151!

You guys think that was a good time for the puppy workout? I don't see too many people do the puppy one, so it's hard for me to tell. SOmetimes I think my times are good, sometimes I think they are waaaaay slow!

Oh, and I now have like 3/4 of a pullup. I noticed I get stuck about halfway, but if I pause a sec and keep trying, I can go 3/4!

Re: Camille the newb

My pullup is back down to half lol.
I did a little time trial in the 20yd pool to see how I was doing- 200yards in 4:50- 10 laps.
Took an extra breath at each end, so I mighta cheated a little.
My 36 jeans feel huge.

Re: Camille the newb

This morning I went to the 25 yard pool and tried to swim an 800. Well, turns out I can't do simple math in the morning, so I actually was doing 400s. However, the good news is that I did 2 sets of 16 laps, which is just under 1/4 mile! To me, a lap is one length-I'm not much of a swimmer to use the right terminology.
There's this short triathlon in August that Erin and Rebecca want me to enter, but it's an 800 yard swim, 3 mile run and I think a 13 mile bike ride. I don't think this year will work.
In January, 20 yards gassed me, and then 40... now I can do 400 (even though I take about 2 extra breaths at the end of each length). That's progress!!
Oh- and I'm comfortable in my black pair of 34 jeans!!

Re: Camille the newb

Think I'm skipping tonight. I don't really have a good concept of a snatch. I think the last time I did this, my elbow hurt for a day or two.
Got home late from dinner and still feel too full to work out.
Excuses, excuses!
