Re: Albany CrossFit Workout Log

Good night last night, everyone looked strong with their respective CFT/Grace/Helen/Cindy and so forth. Me, I did my own thing, as I am wont to do, and did Karabel.

10 rounds of 3x 95lb snatch/15x 20lb wallball

Did that in 11:46, which was at goal for me. Afterwards screwed around with some jerks but really couldn't function straight so went home. Tonight I'd like some metcon, like the old school bootcamp from the other night. I'm down to just train, not do any benchmarks. I'm sure Jay'll come up with some strength for me!

Sweet Karabel time, Luke! I'll have to try that one.

Jess D, what's wrong with the arm? Where'd that workout come from?

Josh

Re: Albany CrossFit Workout Log

John definitely gets athlete of the night! Great performance on Cindy, I couldn't help but laugh as you were trying to push on as you were gagging! Super impressive John, keep it up!

Great work to everyone else. Great 5k runs - Viv, Andrea, and Jen! Everyone that did Helen looked great - Diana, John, and Niki!

Our 2 new members Tim and Matt were awesome! Matt hit a 855lb. CFT, fing crazy! Tim got a great dose tonight, doing a scaled Fran, and then a full Cindy!

Here's what I'm thinking, give me some feedback please:

Some class nights are getting crowded. I would like to add 2 new classes to the schedule and will have the lovely Jessica Dunn helping to run them:

I would like to add classes on both 5:30pm Monday and Wednesday and keep our current 6:30pm classes. I would like to make them a little more organized having members choose to take either one or the other, rather than coming in at any point in between. I will also keep Tuesday at 5:30 and 6:30pm and change Thursday to 5:30 and 6:30pm. So, all weekday classes will be consistent other than Friday night at 6pm.

How does this sound to everyone? I'm not going to be strict and not let people come in until 6:30pm or kick you right out when the next class starts, but just simply try to have 2 distinct classes, so when we are doing wods there is less confusion and more space and equipment.

Let me know how this sounds and if you can give me an idea of what times on the different days you would probably be attending. I am doing this to try to make Albany CrossFit the best fitness facility in the World!

Also, I am going to be ordering some new equipment. If there is anything you think we need or something we need more/another of, please give me your opinions.

Thanks all...see you tomorrow.

Re: Albany CrossFit Workout Log

Just be glad I held it in. When friends and family will ask me how my workout was last night I'll often say "great... I almost puked" but tonight was seriously the closest I've come. I shouldn't have drank water during it.

That new schedule would be great. I'd imagine some days @ 6:30 and some @ 5:30 depending on my schedule.

Matt is scary good. I think he could be our secret weapon at the crossfit games.

Anyone check out the WOD for Thursday yet? Who came up with this horrible cross between Fran and Diane? Glad its a rest day...

Hi Everybody,

So this is the computer world? Glad to join you. Earlier in the week Jason titled one of our workouts "You Get What You Give." Tonight I was doing some research and came across this quote...thought it was cool.

[i]We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.
- Winston Churchill

Sleep well and I'll see you all tomorrow,
Beth
