Re: filthy fifty WOD

I'd um... suggest you start them with filthy 20's. Seriously. They're going to hurt themselves if they try to do this one full out. I started a buddy of mine (who'd already been doing crossfit for a few weeks with me, ramping up) and only had him do 25's of each, and some were subbed.

I used this "Filthy-35" around the hall back when I was working up to the whole 50.

2 rounds for time of:

35 Double Unders
35 Back Extensions or Good Mornings
35 Tailboard Jumps
35 Sit Ups
75' lunges
35 burpees

Re: filthy fifty WOD

I'm going to have to back Matt on that.

You may also consider starting them with something like Cindy, which will convince them of CrossFit's potency without scaring them away.

Re: filthy fifty WOD

we are all in pretty good shape from running in parking garages (up the ramps) .7 tenths of a mile to the top X 5 times. also do alot of stair climbs in full bunker gear (plus 60 to 80lbs) 30flights x 1, then 30 X 2 without gear and we also do alot of high intensity cardio circuit training. Besides whos going to tell a fireman thier not good enough to handle this workout. My guys do quit and they will not be shown up by another engine or ladder. they can do it. I know they can. I trust them every third with my life.
