Just got home from my first ever Judo comp.
It was fun, have done BJJ before but haven't done a grappling comp for over 3 years.
Best bit of all was actaully the weigh in nominated for Under 70kg and step on tha scales at 67.6kg or about 148lbs. That down from 72.6 when i got back from the US 6 weeks ago.Zone is good.
Ended up with a gold in my weight class and silver in the Open against a girl who was 94kg/207lbs.
I took her down at least 4 times, back drop and ankle picks, but none of them scored???? she couldn't throw me,very......, very happy about that. But i lost by accumulated penlties. Oh well you live and learn.
I've only been doing Judo for about 3 weeks.... next time i may actually understand what the ref is talking about.
I like Turtles......
Can you see the tap from here?
Taking down the big girl "please God dont let me stuff this up"
The man how introduced me to crossfit.com.
That man who lets me train it in his gym

We had a team of 11 so there where was plenty of video shot, i have to get mine converted to DVD (i dont have the cabel) then i will try and post some.
Our team did realy well, 11 players and 13 medals some of the guys actually won matches by ipon throw, not bad for a bunch of "jiu jitsu guys"
PS i know there are 12 in the photo, the guy in the front middle is a judo player who crosstrains submission wrestling with us and has been teaching us the rules,
