Ok, I know--just get a 59 cent journal and write it down--but I'm wondering if anyone has a specific template that allows for Crossfit specific notes. All of the third party workout journals out there embrace the isolation workout template sets, reps, weight and the like. I can envision a cool Crossfit Journal, with maxims from Coach, motivating photos from Crossfit Affiliates around the world, benchmark WODs in the back, testimonials, etc. etc. I'll be the first to buy it at the Crossfit Store! In the meantime...

I've been posting my workouts on the Dragondoor forum's Training Log. I recently started a blog as a training log just for myself. I've been using it for about three weeks. I'm afraid I don't have too many Crossfit WOD's on there right now. Mostly sandbag and KB workouts w/ some water filled kegs. If you're interested its headlocker.wordpress.com. I would love to see what other people are doing. I'm afraid my stuff is really just trying to work up to the WOD.

I started a new category in my blog today called CrossFit. Since I am new to CrossFit, it will be fun 6 months from now to look back at my humble beginnings. I have been meaning to do this for some time. http://blog.ryankirk.com

Erik, the site is done using WordPress. That is, if you want to go the blog route.

Thanks all. I'm wondering if there is a hardcopy template that one could use to handwrite notes, etc. in a journal.

I also went the blog route, pretty simple, nothing flashy, but it gets the job done. I've found that logging my times helps to focus me on getting to the gym or where ever. I hate seeing gaps in my posts, so it keeps my attitude and motivation up.

I just use and excel spreadsheet with the following columns: date, prescribed workout, actual workout, results, notes.

Does the trick for me.

I have an online workout tracking system that's in beta right now. It allows for logging results, exercises. It's very skeleton but functional at the moment. We should start the global WOD in the system in the relatively near future. Structure is that there would be a group lead (group could of course be 1 person) who enteres the workout structure, then the group members can all enter their times/reps/etc depending on the workout format. We'll have power output calculation and other features integrated at some point. If you are interested in getting involved in testing let me know we'll get you setup.
