I don't think I've arm wrestled since I was 10 lol
come on...in your profile pic, you're not pulling on that other guy's arm just a little bit?

Ok, I lied. That's Scotty Nguyen, famous poker player on espn (HILARIOUS dude by the way, I don't know if you've ever seen him on tv, but he's entertaining as hell), I randomly ran into him when I was on vaca in Vegas. Asked if I could get a picture with him and agreed on the condition that I have an arm-wrestling match with him

Re: What's so dumb about curls?

When I asked my friend, who is not a CrossFitter, what logical reason he has for doing bicep curls, his response was as follows:

"Curls for the girls, my friend, curls for the girls."

Use that information as you see fit.

My wife comments more on how much she likes my nice squat butt and how weird and bulgy my arms are (not that my arms are even that big). So curls for the girls I don't think is valid.

I don't think so either. Can't argue with college kids though.

As one of my instructor pilots used to say to me (since he knows I don't do curls): "Squats for the t*ats. I will let you decide which consonent is supposed to be where the asterisk is.

That could be interpreted in at least two ways.

Re: What's so dumb about curls?

Imagine there's an earthquake and a huge crack opens beneath your girlfriend, she falls but you throw yourself to the ground and catch her wrist with one hand, you are lying on the floor face down and can't use the legs or back to lift her, the only way to save her is by doing a curl.

I win ( and I've never done a curl in my life...), I'll be going now

Re: What's so dumb about curls?

I suspect that the folks who say there's never any use for curls haven't carried a large number of bales of hay two at a time from one location to another.
