Improving my kips

Hi All,

When I first started I could barely get the motion.

Now I'm up to about 5 in a row, but after that 5, it quickly goes to like 2 in a row.

I can snap my hips pretty good and get my head and chest to the bar with some good power.

Personally, I feel I'm lacking in the so called "pushoff" from the top back to the starting position to start the kip again. I feel as its a struggle pushing off almost as if I'm pulling at the same time. Does that make sense?

How can I improve this motion to keep myself going for more kips.

Post a video, even if it's just a grainy cellphone .mp4 file uploaded to Youtube. Hard to understand what you're doing wrong from the description.

Re: Improving my kips

So after I take a video, how do I post it?

Do I have to post it on a server first?

Thanks

Re: Improving my kips

Try practicing just the kip, without the pull-up. Do that in your warm-ups.

Transfer it to your computer, upload it to Youtube or Vimeo or something like that, then post the link on Digital Coaching.
