That's like saying this shooting and those that died shouldn't have been mentioned and nationally honored because we can't honor every person that dies. Ridiculous statement.

However, lets agree to disagree. If people want to make up an Aurora WOD, it doesn't effect anyone else but themselves. I don't see this argument going anywhere but south.

Re: Aurora WoD

I thought hero WoDs were done in order to:
A) Honor those in its name and
B) Put yourself through a fragment of agony in comparison to those affected by a particular event.

I don't see why the same can't be done here.

Obviously, this can't be done for every tragic and devistating thing that occurs in the world, most of which we don't even hear about. But if anyone who has been personally affected by this is uncomfortable with having a WoD in the name of their lost ones then the only thing you can do is respect their wishes.

I don't think it is unreasonable for anyone who can't make it out to Colorado to honor the victims by doing a WoD in its place.

Re: Aurora WoD

This thread was for the full intention of creating something to honor a historic/tragic day in the United States. My goal was to hopefully honor more than just those that were murdered that day but to honor a town that is at a loss. I am very much at a loss for words to see how this thread has transpired.

Re: Aurora WoD

Best to just let the thread (for lack of a better word) die. Do a WOD in their honor if you want, or don't.

If you're wondering what you should or should not do, I'll let the Hodge twins answer on behalf of people on the Internet. I'm sure you'll find their approach reassuring.

But as much as the very concept behind this thread baffles me, your post and Blair's struck me as particularly removed from the tragedy that took place.

Geezus....just let it go. Nobody in this thread is going to convince anyone of anything.

Whatever man...

Anyway if any of you that do want to do the WOD do it as a fundraiser for the families, you can collect and donate to www.givingfirst.org (WFS)
