Hi Everyone....

Sorry I have been neglecting the crossfit boards. I have very little free time and I was spending way too much time on the boards. Who knew World Domination would take so much work. YESH.

Some quick updates... I quit my job at the gym so I could free up some time in the evenings. I'm in the process of trying to start a consulting business with two of my friends. I work my regular job during the day, then I come home and work on the business plan and proposals at night. The plan is to be fully operational by November. Trying to do that plus work at the gym was killing my sleep, which affected my performance at the gym. I started slacking on my workouts. But I'm back.

Crossfit Force Majeure hit a few snags. Basically dealing with DC gov't trying to get a permit to use their park. Rather than get discouraged I applied the principles of "improvise, adapt and overcome." The National Park Service has been extremely helpful, so Lord willing I'll have a special use permit by the end of next week to use one of the National Parks. The first sesson would be September 19th and possibly September 12th.

Friday AM: WOD
Warm-up
2 Rounds
10 pull-ups
10 dips
10 back extension
10 incline sit-ups
10 OHS
Sampson Stretch

DT
5 rounds for time
75# DL 12 reps
75# HPC 9 reps
75# PJ 6 reps

Time 8:41 for 3 rounds. The last time I did DT, I made it all 5 rounds in 11:05, needless to say I'm soooooooo out of shape. LOL.

Back in the saddle, but I'm definitely half the woman I used to be. My numbers have fallen way off. Please don't be disappointed in me, while I rebuild. It's been frustrating, but I decided to have some patience with myself.

Sunday - Lynne
5 rounds
max BW Bench Press (I used 75 lbs for the bench)
Max Pullups (kips chin to bar)
Total 42/25

The last time I did Lynne 3/16/09 my total was 45/47. Looks like my kip lost it's "ip". sigh.

Tuesday - Clean and Jerk Ladder
75 lbs - 4 rounds plus 2 clean and Jerks (all my cleans were full squat cleans... I totally forgot that these can be power cleans. DUH.)

I stoped at 4:29. Last time I did this was 10/2008 and I made it 3 minutes and 3 C+J with 75 lbs.

*** This is definitely embarassing to write, but it is what it is.

Apparently it's going around. I talked to a few other crossfitters that said they are struggling to get back in the saddle after time off.

Wednesday AM: WOD
10K (as rx'd)

I did 4 miles - Time 43 minutes.

*I saw this and thought WTF. LOL I hate running and considering how out of shape I am, I'm very happy about my time. My best 5k is 28 min, so I think I could pull off a sub 40 next time. Unless of course I get inspired to actually run a 10k. LMAO.
