If someone eats a zone friendly meal and in not hungry for 3-4 hours is it safe to assume that the desired hormonal response has been achieved? Is hunger a valid indicator of whether a meal has caused an insulin spike? Is this a sound way for individuals to get an accurate baseline for there on personal chemistry?

as a general guideline:
if you're hungry (but not tired), eat more protein
if you're tired (but not lethargic), eat more fat
if you're head feels hazy, you've eaten too many carbs
and if you're peppy/buzzy: you're on the money
