Re: Stopped smoking!!

finally decided to quit myself....had to give up alcohol though(baby with the bath water) to give it up completely....The smokes seem to good really good with the beer and scotch, so I had to really commit and give it up. I found writing down the reasons for quitting helps alot. I have 11 reasons posted on my bedroom mirror and try to read them daily.

Hang in there bud! It gets easier!

Re: Stopped smoking!!

You're doing great!

If you need that 5 minute "piece of mind" break, just grab a magazine (perhaps the CF Journal - hah hah) and head to the restroom for 5-10 minutes.

Re: Stopped smoking!!

still going! lost count of how long now and i class myself officially a NON smoker. Had a couple of tough times but been so busy lately aint even had a chance to have 1.
Still on the patches, forgot to put 1 on the other morning and was really irritable, didnt really crave 1 but was just in a bad mood.
Thanks again for all your support and will keep this thread updated.

Re: Stopped smoking!!

Congrats!
I stopped 16 years ago. Didn't have patches then. Just came out with
the Nicorette gum. Chewed that stuff for 6 months after I stopped, (became addicted to the gum).
Keep the faith, not smoking is the best thing you will ever do for
yourself.
