Re: the hardest wod you've done?

Murph and Eva are especially horrid just for the sheer amount of work involved.

But one I did the other day was really terribly demoralizing for me. It was:

kb swings 1.5pood and burpees
50-10
40-20
30-30
20-40
10-50

It took me over a half hour. getting done with 100 burpees and 150 kettlebell swings just to realize you have to do 50 more burpees is soul crushing for me.

Wasn't at the qualifiers but I've done this one and nothing really compares to it.
This sounds interesting enough to try. I just did Dereks 20 rep CFT and this one might be next.

Badger definitely sucks. I agree with Eva, Badger, and Linda; emphasis on Linda because I gave up on her during the most recent MP posting but I think I was suffering from overtraining because I also DNF the 7 rounds of 7 MU and 21 burpees which I had no reason not to be able to. Never tried Hansen or Kalsu. I have to go with Linda.

Another vote for "Barbara." She's just hellish.

"Linda" gets an honorable mention for the sheer slow, grinding pace and mental frustration that goes with her.

"Eva" for sheer volume... it's the only WOD that's taken me over an hour, and that was when I was in the best shape of my life (better shape than today!). Though "Badger" I think was worse mentally, because it's almost as long, but much more grinding due to the high-rep cleans.

I did murph last week and found it relatively easy mentally compared to kalsu, Kalsu is on another level.

That sounds like a total mind-****. You have to constantly balance effort, and can't just sit on it and stay slow. There's no easy way through it, like there is when you can just slow down.

It humbled me and today was the closest I've ever been to quitting, but I didn't and made it though. What was your experience like?
I lasted 12 minutes before 3 rounds in a row without any thrusters....by far the biggest ***** of a workout I've done in a very long time...this one hurt my feelings...lol

*Reposted from my workout log on the day I did Kalsu:

Side note: Although I felt like the WOD beat me, I got some funny comments while doing the workout. While watching me do the workout, a guy said "Doin that will make a grown man cry," and another said "I wanna cry just watching it." Hahaha.

this may not be the hardest but it probably left me more sore than any other WOD was 400m walking lunges.

I did that one last weekend. Looked pretty easy. 351 lunges later and I had changed my opinion.
