Matt Rexin, I love the Lost Boys picture. My old roommate loved that movie and used to always play that beach concert scene over and over. It's completely ridiculous.

Re: Cross fit and Regular Lifiting

Try eating a kilo of steak, a pound of potatoes and a bag of spinach every day. Probably around 3000 calories there, but I bet you put on some weight.

What's your 3500 made up of?

Re: Cross fit and Regular Lifiting

If you want to be big, 3500 cals is not going to cut it.

I'm 230 trying to get to 240, here is what I eat in a day

0900 6 raw eggs, 1 pint milk, a few servings of fruit

1200 3/4 lb meatloaf, half a plate of veggies, a few servings of fruit, pint of whole milk

post workout, about 1500

1 quart chocolate milk

1600
3/4 lb of some kind of meat, more veggies, more fruit, shots of olive oil

2000
3/4 lb meat, more fruit

1 hour before bed
6 raw eggs, 1 pint whole milk

ya know that's really not fair. I'd love to be able to eat all that Jamie, but my 5' frame wouldn't support it well without looking like jabba the hut.

You want none of this, it's not fun, I get tired of cooking all the time, I eat when I'm. I'm tired of eating all this food, but I'm not tired of getting stronger.

Haha...thanks, Im glad to know Im not the only one who loves that beach concert. My buddy and I have this running gag about oiling up, making pipes (Navy pipes on a bosun's pipe) and doing the pelvic thrusts.

Re: Cross fit and Regular Lifiting

Not only has my level of fitness increased dramatically since making the switch to CrossFit from M&F style workouts 6 months ago, but my physique is the best it's ever looked. I have abs for the first time since high school! Tightening up my diet since starting has played a huge part in this as well. And while I'm not huge, I am getting pretty ripped and lean, and I am FAR from a firebreather. I am sold on what it can do for my level of fitness and how it can transform my body. Thank you CrossFit!!

Re: Cross fit and Regular Lifiting

Read Skibicki's post. He lays it out pretty well. If you want to gain mass, you must apply for a part-time job as a professional eater.

The classic Gallon of Milk A Day is a good place to start, if you can tolerate it.
