Starting Strength is the bomb. Steroids not so much. How can anyone possibly think that unnaturally setting off your chemical imbalances is good idea?

Great stuff. Gotta love brutal honesty in a world where walking on eggshells with every comment is expected.

However I'd replace the gallon of milk a day with this (may not be WFS):

LMAO! At least we can use the eggs in the zone or paleo diet. Maybe the shells contain calcium and magnesium.

sorry to hijack, but i was talking with aron the other day (i need to drop off your caps...) about his doing SS with the 1 gl milk deal. i like the sound of the program and need to gain some "good" mass after a summer of loosing weight and getting fit. but my question was if the gallon of milk will work as well for a guy 35 years old?... or if it would be a bad idea. anyone in that age range give it a try? i already drink about a half gallon of 1% as it is and i love milk! drinking a gallon of even 2% would be like a treat for me.

The point of the gallon of whole vitamin D milk is that it provides a lot of calories, a lot of protein, and it promotes muscle growth. 1 gallon a day is not an exact measurement that will work perfectly for everyone. The advantage of it is that it's easy to measure though. The other important thing to remember is that the gallon of milk idea is designed to get you big, along with gaining muscle you are going to put on some fat also. If you want to get bigger start chugging some whole milk, if you start getting too fat cut down how much you drink, if you are staying too lean drink more, it's that simple.
