Outlaw Seminar Feedback?

Can anyone out there share any positive or negative first hand reviews on the Outlaw CF Series seminars?

I'm interested in signing up if they offer another date locally but I wanted to get some real world feedback.

Re: Outlaw Seminar Feedback?

I enjoyed it. Good lifting instruction and oly technique work. prepare to WOD all weekend. They've actually made it a 2.5 day seminar now I believe and it sounds even better.

Re: Outlaw Seminar Feedback?

When i was with Rudy at Outlaw, I went down to Sua Sponte to help coach the first one of this season.
I thought the attendees got a lot of bang for their buck.
As noted above - be prepared to WOD a lot.
There is a little down time during the lecture portions, but that is probably only 2-3 hours out of the entire weekend.
Granted, he has modified it over the course of the season - doing it 30 times has shown him what things work well, and what do not.
If you ask questions and are engaged, you will receive a lot of attention.
PS: A Denver training camp was announced on The Way this week.

Re: Outlaw Seminar Feedback?

I heard atrocious reviews of some seminar...but reaaaaally bad.

I wont post the link out of respect of Sean but a bit of google skills will get you there.

What I took out of this is:

-programming great
-seminars bad

Re: Outlaw Seminar Feedback?

Oh - there have definitely been bad experiences out there. I don't deny it. I've read them myself on Facebook and some blogs.
That is why I suggested being proactive and getting involved by asking questions - seeking guidance while there.
The coaches are there to coach, and they honestly want to help people improve.
Rudy has read the negative reviews too.
He took it to heart and has made changes.
Granted, I've not traveled with the team since I opened my gym, but I have followed The Way enough, and I still am I contact with Rudy on an almost daily basis, to know that things have improved.

Re: Outlaw Seminar Feedback?

I signed up for the Sarasota seminar in August with a couple other people from a local affiliate. I'm pretty excited to check it out.

Re: Outlaw Seminar Feedback?

I had paid for his camp in Okinawa Japan for a weekend in February. Literally on my way to the airport (I am living in Seoul), I heard from a friend that Rudy wasn't coming and the camp was cancelled. We never received an email from them nor had he sent Jamie Light, owner of Reebok Cf Asia any skills or directions to follow to go over with us. Thankfully, Jamie still let us workout for the weekend. I understand situations come up, but how unprofessional to not even email the 60 people who have paid and signed up for the camp. It has now been over 2 months and we still haven't received a refund.
