Band work doesn't really make it into my programming and I like ring dips over bar dips. Plus, the Fringe rack is a single bar, so bar muscle-ups!!
I don't do much band work myself but it's there if you ever want to incorporate it into your program.

Again, it gives you the option to do bar dips but that doesn't stop you from hanging a set of rings on it to do ring dips as well. Lastly you can mount just one overhead bar on it if you want to do your bar muscleups. No need to put both up. I'd love to be able to do Bar muscle ups on this thing but my ceiling is too low.

Comparitively speaking, both racks accomplish identical things.

Throw some bumper plates down and the rack doesn't move. Assembly is simple. The only issue i had was the same as already posted. The reinforcement steel plates for the outside of the pullup bars are drilled a little small for the bolts. This is a quick fix if you own a drill. The holes aren't off by much. I didn't even think about using the spotter arms and dip horns for nuetral pullups...thanks for the idea. I am using this rack in my garage gym and very pleased.
very much for the review Eric. Awesome to hear you're enjoying it! The holes being too small on the steel plates have been fixed. Sorry again to you and everyone else that got the batch with that issue.

We're excited to hear what you think Eddie!
Our Guillotine also weighs 160LBs and if you look closely how we designed the upright to connect to the base, it has little to no movement when kipping or t2b

Re: Get Rx'd Guillotine

Isn't the rack supposed to stop things from falling, and cutting off your head? Why would a company choose this name?

Check out attached picture. It looks like a guillotine! Take a look at how the upright connects to the base, almost identical.

Friend/Coworker came up with the name. I was hesitant at first because of the reasons you listed, but I think it's pretty cool now

I hope it remains ironic for all of its users.

Re: Get Rx'd Guillotine

Well I took delivery of my Guillotine last night. My friend and I put it together in about 15 minutes and did a workout on it.

This thing is awesome!! I'll post pics and video of it in the next couple days.

Totally well worth it guys...seriously. If your looking for a squat rack that does so much more than just a squat rack then this is it. My friend has a Rogue SML-2, and that's the one I was initially going to get. Cost was a big factor to me though since I'm trying to build up my home gym from scratch (that and the fact that we just bought another house and I just completely renovated the kitchen....many many many many thousands of dollars later..) lol.

Although the Rogue is very nice, this thing holds it's own against it...especially when you think about the cost.

Pics and vid to come soon.

Re: Get Rx'd Guillotine

Its funny how small it looks outdoors. Mine seems to be MASSIVE in my garage. It loos like the PC changed to flat black. Mine has a gloss finish.

Re: Get Rx'd Guillotine

I know this is an older thread but just wanted to show that I have now bolted the rack to the floor in the garage gym. It's rock solid. Highly recommend it.

thanks guys.
