ON whey stnadard gold

Does anybody have anything negative to say about Optimum Nutrition Whey Standard GOLD? I've been though a few tubs of nitrean but I cant always wait for their stuff to be in stock so therefore, does ON have a honorable profile. I'm not one of those who is all in to protein and the science behind it so that's why I'm asking for opinions. just wanna get the best bang for my buck to benefit my nutrition / diet.

***I'm waiting very patiently for my ALN results to ship out :-D love that stuff

Chris will say it himself, ON Gold Standard Whey is good stuff. I've used it in the past, and it's a good bang for your buck as well. Easily a safe bet.

I use the Casein in my morning shake on the way to work at least once a week and it's always been great. For $40-$50 I've got a quick breakfast option for the next couple months.

ON Platinum Hydrobuilder looks really good, I've been wanting to try it but keep coming back to ALN.

Re: ON whey stnadard gold

Jason, I used it while I was waiting for ALN products and like it a lot as a sub for nitrean and results. Keep in mind that you will have to get your carbs from somewhere else or you could just add dextrose. I had the strawberry flavor and it was pretty tasty. A while back chris actually said that it looked like a good product.

Pretty hard to beat, especially for the price. I've used it for several years. I normally get the chocolate and the taste is really good.

Re: ON whey stnadard gold

Research showing immune and recovery benefits of whey are typically utilizing biologically active whey which contain crucial polypeptides like lactoferrin, colostrum, glycomacropeptides, etc. Typically these aren't found in large scale commercial proteins but are rather stripped off and utilized in infant nutrition or medical foods, or sold as other supplements. Typically organic wheys on the market avoid this "stripping" but are very expensive.
