Crazy 8 challenge??
So this workout was proposed to one of the trainers at CFSD by a "profesional MMA fighter". His alleged time of 23:01 on it seemed pretty legit until I took a stab at the workout. Here it is...
8 Rounds of 8 reps per excercise
Push Prs 75lbs
30in Box Jumps
Hang dumbell Snatch 35lb
Knees to Elbows
I figured that I am in pretty decent shape and thought that I would finish this pretty close to his reported time. As I started the first round, I went through each excercise non stop at a pretty good pace. Time for first round was 3:11, I had to do 3 extra knees to elbows, not a big difference, I only finished 5 rounds because I felt a twinge in my back, but if you were to take my first round and multiply it by 8 rounds, that comes out to 25:48 overal time. Thats IF every round was was 3:11, as we all know is a close cry to impossible to repeat that round after round.
Considering the amount of work this workout it screams into the oxidative state and to me was pointless to have that many exercises for that many reps. But it is still an a$$ kicking workout.
So heres the Challenge, anyone think they can do this workout under 25 minutes, and I am hoping for some big hitters to ake a stab at this, please record it and post it! I would gladly praise and worship your conditioning and consider you

We did something similar on 8/08/08.
8 rounds, 8 reps each:
Box Jump 24"
Push Press 75#
Hang Power Snatch 75 #
fastest time was 38:08
Doesn't seem that bad until about the 5th round.

8 rounds * 8 exercises * 8 reps = 512 movements.
25 minutes is 1500 seconds.
So someone would have to maintain a movement every 3 seconds for all 25 minutes (25:36 really) to do this. That would be awesome to witness. It's doable, but beastly.
