I think I might have fractured my foot...

Anyone got any experience here with foot injuries?

I think I may have fractured a bone...

Tripping down the stairs in my apartment none-the-less.

What an idiot.

Anyways, I'm not sure if I should go in for an xray or not.

It happened last night, really bad pain for about a minute or so after which I was able to stand up and hobble back up stairs.

Still kind of throbbing, I could support my full weight on it, but it causes pain.

applying pressure to the foot is fine, and only causes pain on the fourth metatarsal.

I seem to have full ROM with the toes, but moving them does cause a little pain.

I'd REALLY like to avoid a trip to the doctor if at all possible.

But what do you guys think I should do?

I would get an x-ray. But I'm fortunate enough to have good insurance.

Is there any swelling? Bruising? If you squeeze your toes, how long does it take them to turn back to normal color?

Rest and ice are good options while you decide whether to get it looked at.
