I sure hope that we keep on having these boards to freely discuss our passion. If they do decide to cut it I hope that they give us time to copy to another venue.

Seems the dump is because of censorship and sharing with government entities and control of content by FB and IG. So I don't see this one getting dumped for the same reason. Though traffic on here is the lowest I've seen in years.

The board isn't going anywhere! It's slated for some renovation and upgrade, but the board lives on.

Yes the shutting down of FB and IG privacy concerns. Again would have been a much better situation. "Hey guys we are going to shut down our IG and FB pages because of privacy concerns" instead of what happened. At this time it might be too much to ask for a heads up.

I really wonder if it is privacy concerns or ownership of data that is the concern. Read the user agreement you approved and you will find out more. FB & IG have the rights to your data, they can use it, sell it to a 3rd party and not pay you anything.

Plus they have access to your data for ever!!!!!!

Go to YouTube and search for Facebook user agreement and watch one of the many films about it, you will be shocked.

There is a film on Netflix about this for IG, YouTube and other media.

I am pleased that the only media forum I use is this one. I have not FB, IG, Twitter and so on. Plus I work with IT security and protection of data and know all about this.

If people thought FB and IG were a platform to interact with other people they are a bit naive. They made billions by selling all your data not because you clicked like to a kitten picture.

It is discouraging though that this site took such a dive traffic wise.

Looking at the usage of the board since the last massive hick up with the loss of data i am really wondering if i will continue to post here. I think i will give it another few weeks to see what happens and if is dosn't get any better i think i will call it a day.
