Vibram Komodo's

My Vibram Komodo's came in today. I also have KSO's and Bikila's.

The Komodo is like the perfect marriage between the Bikila and KSO. They have the nice mesh upper of the KSO with the sole of the Bikila. The KSO always feels like a glove. Nice and soft, super comfortable to wear all day. I just couldn't get into wearing the Bikila's around and only wore them for WODs. The upper adds a bit of compression, which just didn't make them all that comfortable to me.

The Komodo seems like the best evolution to date.

Thanks for the review. I just got a pair of KSOs myself and I love them. Could you wear the Komodos around all day while running errands? How do you think they'd fare on trails and in shallow waters compared to the KSOs? I'm still considering a pair of Treksports as my 2nd pair.

I think they'd be superior to KSO's for running in general, and definitely on rough ground. The sole's great. I hate the Trek. I think the Bikila's and Komodo's are superior in terms of comfort and . . . runability? The Trek has that thick sole, but the Bikila and Komodo take it and make it flexible. The sole pretty much seems identical on the Komodo and Bikila. The Komodo just has that comfortable mesh upper whereas the Bikila's is kind of compressive.

I'm excited about the Komodo's because I totally think they'll be comfortable to wear around all day. When I opened them, I put one on one foot and a KSO on the other. The difference in comfort was minimal at best.

I ordered from REI, btw.

I might have to get them now, lol. Been looking for a pair to wear around all day. Did you find sizing to be the same as your KSO? No stores have them locally so I might just have to rely on my KSO size to order online. Thanks!

I wear the same size in all of them. You don't like wearing KSO's all day?

Not all the time no. I'd like to have just a tad more padding at the bottom for walking around town. The Komodos seem to have that.
