Where are you the most sore?
For crossfit newbies and veterans, what parts of your body are the most sore? For the people that have been doing this for a long time do you still get sore? Scale 1-10?
How long can one expect to feel sore once starting crossfit until the soreness starts easing up? With the intensity and the variety maybe it doesn't. Just curious to hear your thoughts. |

Re: Where are you the most sore?
CrossFitting for almost two years now and still get sore from time to time. Usually pay the price for a few days following a workout of ME slow lifts (i.e squats and deads) or hitting heavy triples for a handful of sets.

Re: Where are you the most sore?
my legs are my worst part so they norm come out feeling a bit stuffed the next day.
Apart from that it depends on the workout, i try and get pretty smashed each workout, dont end up in crazy pain anymore like when i started but still stiff which i love! |

Re: Where are you the most sore?
It really depends on the person as to how often, how easily, and where they get sore. I don't get sore very often, but after an ME day of squats or deads my hamstrings and glutes will be pretty tender. The occasional bench press or GHD sit-ups will get me as well.

Re: Where are you the most sore?
Funny I was going to post a similar question today. I did Fran 5 days ago and legs are still sore. not just a little. its hurts to stand up and use those quads.
Is there something that causes it to get worse? is there a diet issue here? I have heard that not eating proper post workout meals can have an effect. any opinions. steve |

Do a search for DOMS if you want further information. There's some pretty good threads. As for OP's question I rarely get sore anymore. You just have to work up to a high conditioning level using muscles all different ways. I'm on a strength cycle now though so we'll see what happens when I start doing metcons again.. haha. If you're getting sore for 5 days, USUALLY the intensity is too high and you should scale back until you can start completing everything without too much soreness before raising the intensity back up to normal. With performance, especially on a frequent schedule like 3/1 that CF follows it is not a good thing to be sore because it hinders training. |
