Q about tracking WOD's
Is there a way I can track my WODs on my home computer that is relaltive low tech? Originally I used a spiral bound journal, then tried a 3 ring binder and that sucked for me. I am nowusing a MS Word document to list them but wondered if there wasn't something better. I don't know anything about spreadsheets and the like so that may limit your suggestions.
TIA Bill |

Re: Q about tracking WOD's
Thanks for the suggestion, but I would prefer to just do something on my home computer.

Re: Q about tracking WOD's
I could probably make an MS Access database pretty easily that would be searchable, but I'd need a little bit of free time in the near future. Actually that might be a good idea for me to do anyway, seems pretty useful.

Re: Q about tracking WOD's
I enter everything into an Excel sheet. There's no order to it other than chronological. In other words, it's a mess. But it's all there, and someday I'll have the time and wherewithal to make some sense out of it.

Re: Q about tracking WOD's
I use my home PC. I download (each year) from the microsfot template download center. The files can be found in Word form (as well as excel).
(wfs) http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...ar&ex=2&av=all You will have to sift thru the different ones, and ideally you will find the FULL YEAR Calendar (not just one month at a time). So when the mainsite gives you a wod, that hasnt been repeated since april 2009, you can just open up your 2009 calendar doc, and find april quickly. I dont know how those with logs on here find past workout times in less than 1 click??? Here's similar to the one Im using for 2012, it gives you the ability to make the boxes bigger for more typing(wfs): http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/te...i:TC102809251| |

I use Evernote. If you have a smart phone they have an app that is linked to their website too, so if you can't get home right away there is that option. It's free too.

Re: Q about tracking WOD's
I use a really simple spreadsheet on google docs
New sheet for each year Columns are: date | Metric (time/weight/etc) | Description | Comments So the entry for the modified 'Ralph' I did looks like this: 12/11/2012 | 29m 59s | Ralph-ish 4 rds: 8x 225lbs DL, 16x burpees, 15x towel pull ups, run 600m | kind of 'ralph' WOD, scaled down. ran on treadmill pretty easy to search, can do some simple metrics about how often I actually make it to the gym. My next project will be to try and parse out descriptions to actually measure work and even power output, curious to see if there's been a major change since I started ~6 years ago |
