Matt Hehn's Workout Log

Pervious PR's for reference:
CFT- 855
Squat- 325
Press- 140
Deadlift- 390
Fran- 2:39

Weight- 180 I guess I've been cheating on the workouts that require the use of bodyweight weights.

2/27/08
"Eva"
37:07

Slacked off on the runs because I started to feel sick(If only there was a straw icon, then maybe I could suck it up). The Dumbbell swings were way too broken and my lats were pretty sore so my pullups suffered. Excuses, excuses- I'll just put out harder next time.

2/28/08
Press 5x1
85-100-110-125-140
Push Press 5x3
95-110-130-145-160
Push Jerk 5x5
105-125-140-160-175(2-2-1)

Pleased that I matched my PR on the press the day after doing 150 DB swings during Eva. The first break on the last set of Jerks was fairly short (less than a minute) but I talked for a while before I hit the last rep.

Matt, that CFT is definately something to write home about(or post here). We do need the "suck it up" icon. You definately push yourself. You'll be in the 1000 CFT club in the near future. Your strong, driven, and gosh darn it, people like you.

Normal Warm-up
"Angie"- 13:40

The sit-ups slowed me down more than any of the other exercises. Sub 13 next time is my goal.

CFWUx1
Skill practice
7 rounds:
10 sdhp, 95lbs
10 ring dips
6:33
It is my fifth day so I could use that as an excuse for my time, but the truth is I just took too many breaks towards the middle and couldn't make up the time in the end.

Re: Matt Hehn's Workout Log

Matt, I saw you doing some nice practice on the rope climbing today. Does that count as some skill work?

I guess I should choose my words more carefully. Since I not very skillful at the exercises I need to practice I will now start calling it weakness work. And to answer your question, me flailing around on the rope did fall under skill under the old system.

Re: Matt Hehn's Workout Log

It's time to get my diet in check. Putting the food I eat into a log that the entire world has access to may give me the motivation I need to change my evil ways.
9 am- Protein shake ( 1 banana, 1 scoop almond butter, 3 oz coconut milk, 5 oz whole milk, half a scoop protein powder), 8 oz water
10:30 am- 16 oz water
12 pm- 3 eggs, toast with almond butter, 8 oz milk
3 pm- 3 brownies
7 pm- Large bowl of Caesar salad, 8 oz milk, 1 piece turtle cheesecake

It seems to be getting worse as the day progresses. Maybe I thought the water I was extracting from the brownies would be enough- or maybe I an idiot... My only defense; it seemed like a good idea at the time. I'll try and keep it clean for the rest of the night and start fresh tomorrow. The good news is I have a lot of room to improve.
