I meant unavoidable in the sense that we have to deal with them. You're putting too much thought into this. When you respond to a call, could you have prevented what brought you there? I don't see what you don't follow but this thread is not about that derail.... AND

That's 54 threads in five years. Not all of which are directly about specific rhabdo incidents, and a few of which are about incidents *not* related to Crossfit. That's actually not a huge number of cases, given the large number of Crossfitters of all experience and fitness levels.

Now, the actual number of cases is likely higher, given that only some fraction will post to the forum. But then, the total Crossfit population is much greater than the forum population, too.

So I'm not saying you'll lose the bet, but you haven't yet provided enough evidence to win it, either.

Wow, CF induced rhabdo showing up on the CF boards, no way. So they're not posting the boot camp induced rhabdo, marathon induced rhabdo, Police Academy induced rhabdo, etc...hmm I wonder why.

Now when I searched CF didn't make the list. In fact the latest report was I think 2004. This is telling, it means that CF is not causing a mad rush for rhabdo treatment. The one I read, is also saying that exercise induced rhabdo is RARELY fatal, so we can stop the histrionics at any time .

I think it's pretty interesting, especially when you take into consideration that a very very small percentage post on forums. Just food for thought. I am sure if I had Rhabdo I would post it, but most people have their priorities straight .

And if a discipline lists it's number 4 ( number 4, really?!) rule as don't kill people with Rhabdo....Just sayin'. Who knows?

Sure. 54 threads over 5 years, including people who left and 34,000 total members 2023 active ones. Really, I like my odds. When you talk about the tens of thousands who go through basic every year, and the millions? who run marathons, you go ahead and make the CF sample as small as you want.

Why are you so stuck on this as a threat? What's your interest?
