Paleo Advice
Hello, so I just started crossfit and my box is doing a paleo diet so I'm doing it as well and just want to know if my diet is good.
Breakfast- 2 egg whites and a banana (2) Snacks through out the day - A fruit, 6 peanuts, and a glass of milk (2) meals throughout the day - chicken and 1 cup of mixed vegetables. Just want to know is it OK to eat fruits during this diet, and can i take protein shakes. If any one can give me some advice what are some good foods to and and not so good ones. Thanks. |

Eat whole eggs.
Yes, fruit is paleo. Peanuts are not. Neither is milk. If you're doing a paleo challenge with your affiliate, maybe you should start by asking them what the diet entails? Unless you're a sedentary teenage girl, you probably need to eat substantially more food than that. What are your goals? Katherine |

Yea either ask more questions or they are doing a horrible job. They should be able to provide you with a food list. click here (WFS) and download the quick start guide and look at the slide show linked on that page
Paleo: Proteins Unprocessed meats of all kinda, eggs, fish. Fats Nuts (in moderation, nut butters are not a good idea.), olives and olive oil, coconut products (unsweetened), avocado, animal fat. Carbs Veggies of all sorts, fruits (not dried). Paleo gray areas. Tubers, I say they are paleo, but their application in a diet depends on your goals and your activity type and level. Milk products, in particular cheeses and butter. ^^^ you'll have to confirm with your affiliate what they consider paleo. Paleo no-nos. Grains of any kind. Legumes including peanuts. Vegetable and nut oils (loaded with omega 6). |

@Mark to tell you the truth I'm not using any source just reading up peoples post on the forum and using my Block Reference Guide.
@Katherine I've always been told not to eat whole eggs, and I'm a guy by the way. Don't feel sorry I get that some times, and I just emailed my coach to see what he says. It's my First time doing this Diet, so don't know how much I much I should be eating. @Michael Ya i just emailed my coach, when I started he just said eat healthy and If I have questions to ask, which I did. Also thanks for that article it helped. |

Agree with Mark. Go to primary source documentation. Paleo is constantly evaluating as more research comes out, it is different this it was 10 years ago. Also by reading it you can understand what it will do to you body. For example Dairy is a grey area but if if you want to put on muscle it WORKS.

All I can say is Oh man.......... Bro seriously get some assistance. Your way off track in every respect. If your affiliate is doing a diet then they should have the knowledge and resources available to guide you through. Based on what you wrote they are either the worst gym ever or you have not taken advantage of the information they are offering.
