Custom Oly Platforms

Has anyone build a custom oly platform. I have searched around and also build a few. I was wondering what everyone else is using or has in their garage or gyms. My next one I want to do a logo in the center and lacquer over it.

3/4" Plywood, 4x6 3/4" horse mats, your favourite stencil, stain/urethane although I haven't bothered to seal my top piece. 3 layers thick makes for a pretty robust platform especially if it's sitting on concrete.

Ya, I have build them I was wondering what others have done what they look like. I want to do some cool sticker/stencil in the middle and put urethane/lacquer over it.

Re: Custom Oly Platforms

Thanks. The latches are for banded DL's. Can't tell by the pic, but there are two more at the opposite ends.

Re: Custom Oly Platforms

Gotcha. Never though about incorporating them into a platform.

I have used them on stands and stuff.

I like your pulling blocks. Did you make a whole stack?

Re: Custom Oly Platforms

That's a pretty sweet setup you got there. I'm thinking of putting one together myself but making mine 4x8 due to space/money and incorporating latches or pins for banded DLs.

Did you build yours the standard 8x8 way? With 4 sheets of plywood on the bottom and then stall mats and nice plywood on top?
