I am very interested in starting Crossfit, but am probably too out of shape just to jump in with the WOD. I think I would benefit from the guide of an instructor. Does anyone know if there is anything going on in Lubbock, TX. Thanks for any info.

Unfortunately, Wichita Falls is a good 2 hour drive from Lubbock.

I'm no instructor, but I've been doing this for a little bit. I'm in grad school at Tech, so I use the student rec center. We should meet up. Where do you workout in Lubbock?

I live in Lubbock as well....Do my own CrossFit at home. Not much around here like that...typical standard "fitness centers" here.

Chuck,

I'm actually a grad student at Tech too. I've been trying to workout at the Rec as well.

Not much in the way of equipment here. Several sets of dumb-bells, jump rope, pull-up bar, medicine ball and that's about it for my "home gym".

I haven't been a Tech student in a LONG time..although I am a Tech grad! I should look into a membership there though...my wife gets a discount through UMC I think.

Chuck,
I'm definitely up for trying to meet up sometime. I must be honest, though, I am out of shape so I would definitely need help since I haven't done anything this intense in awhile, but you gotta start sometime, huh?

David,
Do you hang out on txmma.com as well? I recognized the Agentcooper tag.
