Looking to make one more big purchase for my home gym. (have bars, weights, and am ordering Vulcan Power Racks, Pillars of Power, and a bench this week)

Should I get a GHD or Rower next? After this my big purchases are going to slow for a long while....

Thanks,
Jason

Jason,

I would go with the C2 Rower next for a few reasons. GHD movements can be simulated or replicated with a little creativity, especially with a training partner. Exercises can also be substituted for the GHD, Good Mornings and Supermans work well. In my opinion the C2 is one of the best training tools to invest in for your home gym. I have been designing home and commercial gyms for some time and the rower and the GHD are standard in almost all of my installations. That's my 2 cents.

Jason, I waited a while till I found a deal on a C2 but got mine about 3 weeks ago and I'm in love. I'd used them at the local Y before but having your own is sweet! And the C2 website has WOD's like Crossfit that keep it very creative. I have a minor knee injury at the moment but am able to workout everyday with the rower instead of doing Crossfit WOD's that would bother my knee. Seriously, it's bad .

Jason, I would go with the C2 if your primary goals are GPP related. If your primary goals are powerlifting or sprinting related I would go with the GHD as it's tops for hamstring development and injury prevention.

Thanks for all the advice. I think I will get the rower for now, but the GHD will be on my short list!!

Within a month I will post some pictures of the current status of my home gym!!

John, what does GPP mean?

C2... the GHD function can largely be improvised with other equipmet; not perfectly, but pretty darned close.

The C2 really is a special device; you won't fully appreciate until you've used it.
