Anybody have a good rule of thumb for "converting" rowing to running? That is, if the crossfit WoD calls for 500m rowing intervals, what would be a comparable distance to run on the track? Thanks in advance,

It depends on how fast you run and how fast you row. The target for 500s for Crossfit seems to be about 1:30. That's pretty fast erg-ing so it might be comparable to a 4:30 mile (?) so maybe you could run repeat 600s on the track for a similar kind of interval workout.

I mostly run 800s and 400s on the track just because it's easier and I have a better feeling for my pacing at these distances.

I usually substitute hill sprints for the 500's if I can't row. They smoke you faster!
