Love the site and the message board is great. I have 2 questions (for now) 1)pullups - I can't do very many of these unassisted, should I just do as many as I can or should I use the pull-up assist to boost reps 2) I notice that some WODs include the description "for time" ... what does that mean exactly? Thanks.

lawrence-

Regarding PU's: do both! Some days just do your best with no assist. Other days use a gravitron or whatever you have available.

For time means to complete the prescribed number of rounds comprised of the various exercises in as short a time as you can.
Welcome to CrossFit!

Robb - Thanks for the info and the welcome. I've been doing my own version of cross training for some time, mainly out of boredom with doing the same thing over and over. I've always felt my approach was a little hap-hazard, so I think this will help in that regard. I can now focus on intensity ... I'm really looking forward to this ... LAC
