As I was doing the dumbbell squat cleans, OH lunges and thrusters I noticed it was much easier to hold the Dbs perpendicular to the shoulders rather than parallel(like a barbell). I mixed my styles.
Does anyone else have a comment on the value of one way over the other? It certainly it is easier perpendicular but it does allows more weight to be moved quicker and is different than a barbell exercise.
BTW, this is a GREAT WOD and offers a nice benchmark number. the lunges were particularily difficult to execute developing balance and core elements.
