Workout of the Day Questions & performance regarding CrossFit's WOD

I was wondering what most of the board members did on Crossfit days off? Do most of you completely take the day off or do you do some type of active recovery, perhaps practice some gymnastics movements etc?

In all seriousness, if everyone were to chime in, I think you'd see quite a range of responses. There are some CrossFit dynamos like Kelly that do "active rest" days that would make me pass out, puke, or both. There are others that take it as easy as possible, like me.

I think if you play a sport, it's a great day to practice that sport and work on skill development.

Bottom line: Listen to your body.

I think Dan John wrote in one of his posts that a lot of people get the workout part 100% right, but many don't come anywhere near that for the recovery. Workout and recovery should be thought of along the same lines. Both take preparation, a little thought, and some discipline.
