Talking Did my 1st Crossfit workout today..

I did Murph.

Scaled everything in half. My time was 35 minutes and 25 seconds.

What would be considered a normal time for the full workout?

Re: Did my 1st Crossfit workout today..

Welcome aboard, man! Murph is a heck of a workout to start out with, even when scaling it. I'm fairly new to CF (1 year) so I've only done Murph once and it took me 44:47. Here's a link to a site with Murph times: http://wodclub.com/workout/Murph/186 (link is wfs)

Ignore the people who somehow did it in under 20 minutes, they obviously don't get the point of the site.

Good luck with your next workout!

Thank you for that link! I am going to go through and check out peoples different times for different workouts.

I hope to be able to do the full workout in 45 minutes soon.

Thanks Shawn!

I plan on going forward trying to follow the WOD and if I can't do it I'm going to practice whatever OLY lift it may be.

You did Murph on your first day?

I'm interested about your fitness background. Going at these kind of workouts this early could do you more harm than good...but you scaled. Thank God!

This depends on your goals, but you might want to focus on strength at first followed by short metcons. That's just my opinion.

Enjoy CF, if done correctly, it can be a very beneficial fitness program
