Thanks, Marianne and Steve! SOOOOOO encouraging!
This is just a note to let you know I have not dropped off the edge of the earth or forsaken CF. =) My missionary lifestyle took a sharp turn early in May and I've been *out of town* on assignment since then. Now I have 3 (quick) days off and then I will start another 40 day assignment. CF is not really an option for me right now but I'm still reaping the benefits and looking forward to the day when I can get back to a more *normal* lifestyle with some working out. See you in July! |

Nancy, thanks for checking in. By the time I was finished in July, I had a new assignment which included a trip through Tennessee then traveling to Florida. I'm still there, helping my brother's wife and children as my brother died. Not sure how long I will be here. Hope to get back someday soon. Delita

She's Back!?!
Working on getting membership in local CF gym, had free workout today and found I hadn't lost all of what I had gained. It has been 5 years.
2 rounds for time: 5 air squats 5 push-ups (knee) 5 sit-ups 5 box steps (but didn't get the time, it wasn't pretty). Breathing hard when through but not flat on mat. |

Great to see you're back at it, Delita! I've been away from CF for nearly 3 1/2 years - - got sick and had to suspend activity and just never went back. Hoping to restart soon.

Thanks for the encouraging word, Stephen! Great to see a familiar *face.* Are you to the place you could do what I did yesterday? I'm really starting slow because it has been 5 years, but -- I have maintained a good deal of what I gained before. When I first started (Christmas 2007), believe it or not, I was in way worse shape than I am now. I'm very excited to think what a little consistent Crossfit can do. Glad to see you reading and talking, trust those will get you excited enough for light something!

WU 2 rnds 200 meter walk/run 5 push ups (knee) 10 squats Skill work: lunges, C2 rower WOD 3 rnds for time 10 lunges 6 box steps 8 sit ups row 200 meters time 13:58 Ready for it to be over, but glad I could do it. |

200 m. walk/jog 10 ring pull-ups Skill work jump rope - side jumps kettlebell WOD: AMRAP nin 15 mins 15 squats 20 side jumps 5 push-ups (knee) 15 kbs, 5 lb. (right shoulder inflammation 3 rounds, and was plenty. Glad to finally find some jumping I can successfully do, and, still working that right shoulder without wearing it out. Was able to do all but last 2-3 inches of upper swing before vertical. |
