Radial Nerve

While doing walking lunges with 45# bar overhead, my tricep, forearem, and inside palm and thumb on my left arm started to tingle, almost like a mild "funny bone" feeling. This happened about a week ago, and although I am not feeling any pain, the mild numbness is still there. I was told these are sypmtoms of an aggravated radial nerve, but what should I do about it. Will rest take care of it?

Should work itself out on its own. If it stays for a while though you'll want to get it looked at as its possible that something is pressing on the nerve.

John, it sounds like you suffered a bit of nerve impingement to me. Do you not get the same thing happen after overhead squatting?

One thing that can help is to shrug your shoulders hard when holding a bar overhead. However, even with shrugging, I get a similar thing happen on my right side after overhead squats . It takes just over a week for the sensation in my forefinger and thumb to fully recover.

Working on shoulder flexibility can help (I'm doing shoulder dislocates every day).
