Re: Official WordPress users thread.

Has anyone else suddenly lost their Facebook like box?

Mine was working and a couple of days ago it suddenly went away and has yet to return. I didn't change or do anything so that is why I am confused.

Zach,

Most likely you are logged in to Facebook as your page and not your personal profile. When I am logged in on Facebook as "My Athletic Life," my like box doesn't appear correctly on my website.

Yup that was the issue hahaha such a simple thing that I never even thought of huh.

Well here is the site let me know what you all think I have gotten rid of as many bugs as I can catch. I went at this with the idea of simplicity = efficiency type of mind set.

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

Google Calendar is an easy option; you just make the calendar public, go to the sharing options, and look for where it gives you the HTML code to put on your site. (There are WordPress-related options, too, from embedding tables to Event Calendar/Manager plugins, etc.)

Paypal is a pretty easy payment option; I'd also be inclined to check out Dwolla (.com); much lower fees than anything else out there. Automatic/Recurring payments, or subscriptions, are doable with either, as well as pretty much any ACH system out there - how to do each one just depends on which system you go with.

Hope this helps...

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

Quick question on reacurring paypal payment options. If i change the amount lets say the rate goes from 100 to 200 a month. Will that affect everyone else who is already a member or will it just affect the new clients. I would like to have a loyalty program where your rate does not change. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

Once a subscription is set, it's set - to change amounts, dates, etc., it'd have to be cancelled and a new one started. So yeah, you're good.

thanks adam. I would just hate to tell people they are paying one thing then we change the price and all of a sudden they are getting charged more.

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

Has anyone had any luck creating a site that has multiple blog pages along with normal static content? I would like to ultimately have my home page be blogs of category "home" for misc blogs/content and my WOD page be a blog of only "WOD"s category. I don't want my WODs on my home page, and vice versus.

Been checking the word press support and it seems possible if you do some coding, but that is well above me. Was hoping this might be possible via the standard "config" versus the PHP or template mods?

Best forum I've found so far is this http://wordpress.org/support/topic/d...mephp-template (W/F/S) but it appears too complex for me to figure out how to work?

Re: Official WordPress users thread.

WordPress \ Blogger question:

How do you format your posts so that they RSS feed into these mobile applications such as "myWOD" or "Xercise"?

Example WorkSafe Links:

http://crossfitnewalbany.blogspot.co.../posts/default
http://crossfitnewalbany.blogspot.co...efault?alt=rss

How would\could you do the WoD posts so they work correctly in apps?
