I had a nice relaxing time away at the lake. Too much sugar and sun but a good time was had.

Snatches

20kg x 2 x 3
40kg x 3
50kg x 3
60kg x 2 x 3
65kg x 2 x 3


Although they were light, they felt real good. Practiced staying in the hole until I was stable, before I stood up.

Power clean and jerk

50kg x 3
70kg x 3
80kg x 3 x 3
90kg x 2

Felt good. Kept my chin down in the jerk and instantly felt more stable

Front Squats

110kg x 2
140kg x 3 x 3


Felt very stable and strong in my powerlifting belt.

That's all I had time for today.

I'm trying to get through my workout in 50 minutes now due to time restrictions with work. It's pretty tough with such short recovery times

Power Snatch

20kg x 2 x 3
40kg x 3
50kg x 3
60kg x 2 x 3
70kg x 2
75kg x 2 x 2


Felt good.

Power Clean and Jerk


60kg x 2
80kg x 2 x 3
90kg x 2
95kg x 2 x 2


Felt a bit off today.

Clean Pulls

130kg x 4 x 3

Still can't really get this movement down. Gotta keep practicing.

That was all I had time for, Squats to come tonight.

Squats felt real good. Could've gone up.

Again I only had 45-50 minutes this morning. I decided to warm up better and just get through my Snatch and C&J's

Snatch

20kg x 2 x 3
50kg x 2 x 3
70kg x 2
75kg x 2 x 2
80kg x 3 x 2


All these felt good today. My last set of snatches were a bit crap though, I caught them well but tried to come up too fast - must get stable in the hole!

Clean and Jerk

70kg x 2
90kg x 2
100kg x 2
105kg x 2
110kg x 2 x 2


Clean's were good (I power cleaned the first rep of 110kg) but my jerk's were hit and miss, I have to get my head through.

This was all I had time for, squats to come tonight.

Wednesday continued.

I was going to do Front Squats and Snatch Pulls tonight, but after dinner at my parents and 1.5 hours spent staining our new deck, it was 9.30pm at night and I had no time. I just quickly got my front squats done then called it a day

Front Squats

20kg x 2 x 3
70kg x 3
100kg x 1
130kg x 1
140kg x 2 x 3
150kg x 2 x 2


Squats felt very strong. My elbows were dropping slightly on the 150kg second reps so I gotta work on that. Otherwise a good little blast of strength work.

I'm feeling beat up in my hamstrings and right knee lately so a day off today (Thursday). I might mow the lawns to get the blood flowing, but no weightlifting!

Max out day.

Snatch

85kg x 1
85kg x 2 (PR for 2)
90kg x 0, 0
90kg x 1 (Powersnatch PR)


Snatch felt real good today. I failed the first attempt at 90kg due to not stabilising in the hole - lost it about 60% of the way up. The second rep was just not high enough. I composed myself and attempted it again 3 minutes later and caught it above parallel for a powersnatch PR - Go figure?

I was running short of time here..

Clean and Jerk


60kg x 3
90kg x 2
100kg x 2
110kg x 2 (Equals PR for 2)
120kg x 1 (Equals PR)


Very good clean on 120kg, even though the bar was dropping on me a bit. Easiest this weight has ever felt.

I wish I had more time!

I was away for the weekend but had 1.5 hours spare to go to a nearby gym. No bumpers but they had gear good for powerlifting..

Back Squat

175kg x 4 x 3

Squats felt very strong today. Happy

Push Press

60kg x 3
80kg x 2
100kg x 3
105kg x 3
107.5kg x 3 (PR)
110kg x 3 (PR)


5kg PR for a triple. Again this felt very strong

Deadlifts - Belted, Strapped, in Oly shoes


60kg x 3
100kg x 3
140kg x 1
160kg x 1
180kg x 4 x 3


Difficult but not too bad. Deadlift strength has taken a hit lately.

Pullups

5 sets of 3. Easy peezy

Strong stuff here.

Mucked around with some bodyweight pullups and light bench press when I finished. Back to 6.30am starts tomorrow..

I had a horrible nights sleep last night due to our little girl teething again. Gladly, today was a lighter day..

Hang Power Snatch

Need to catch stronger. Nice light weight though.

Hang Power Clean

80kg x 4 x 3


Nice and light. Felt good

Push Press

50kg x 3
90kg x 4 x 3


I focussed on pushing my head through on these. They shot up fast with no trouble.

Good mornings

50kg x 6
70kg x 4 x 6

These were tough after not doing them for 3 months. Really focussed on stretching my hamstrings - They're going to be sore tomorrow!

Wow, my hamstrings are soo stiff from the good mornings.

Snatch - standing on 25kg plates (approx 2-3 inch)

20kg x 3
40kg x 3
50kg x 3
60kg x 2
70kg x 4 x 2


2 misses just from being lazy. Felt pretty crap to be honest - the extra depth screws me up. Hamstrings were sore.

Clean - standing on 25kg plates (approx 2-3 inch)

60kg x 3
80kg x 2
100kg x 4 x 2


These also weren't the greatest.

That's all I had time for, due to a longer warmup, and the guys I was lifting with were taking their sweet time. I'll try and make up the squats and pulls tonight.
