Blood type?

I've heard a couple of people I know talking about a book called "Eat Right 4 Your Type." The idea is basically that there are certain foods that are more favorable to eat with certain blood types. I've been eating Zone and Crossfitting for several months and seem to have hit a wall with my weight loss. (I still have another 30 or so lbs to go.) A friend of mine who is a hardcore crossfitter/zone guy said I might want to look into it and use it in conjunction with the Zone.

My question is whether any of you guys have heard about or had any experience with this. If so what are your thoughts? Thanks it advance.

Re: Blood type?

There are numerous things that could be preventing you from losing the 30lbs. List what you eat in a day. From when rise to when you hit the pillow. You don't need to worry about what your blood type is.

I'm sure we will find out what the problem is.

Re: Blood type?

There's probably some shreds of truth in there, but I remember reading an in-depth de-bunking of this diet (can't find the link)...especially with the author's suggestions for physical activity related to blood type as well (AB's should be gentle farmers or something like that). What's your diet like? food quality? That should be your first priority. The zone often prescribes too many carbs for a lot of people. Have you read "42 ways to skin the zone" by Robb Wolf? start there.

Already did that on another thread, and I've adjusted my eating accordingly. The purpose of this post is really just to get some thoughts on the the blood type diet idea.

Yeah, I've recently started cutting a lot of carb blocks from my meals. It's only been a week so it's too early to see if it's working. I will say this, it's really affecting my energy levels during my WOD's. Hopefully it's causing my body to have to burn fat for energy.

Haven't read the Wolf book, I'll give it a try. Thanks.
