Circuit 2:
DB Cuban Rotations (10#)
Band External Rotations
Band Pull Aparts
Band Dislocates

Wow. That accident sounds crazy, Brent.

Glad to hear you are back on your feet, mostly. Keep us posted on how the rehab goes. When do you get to back squat again?

The accident was pretty crazy...sadly, only marginally crazier than some of the other Dumb I've done...

thanks though.

back on 8/9 i couldn't BS, the combination of the high wrist shoulder position, and weight of the bar across the fracture site was too much. On the 26th of this month I BS 45# and 95#, it didn't hurt, but i'm going to take it VERY VERY easy on my shoulder until the low-level ache goes away.

I've let my workout log slip for a while. I'm focused on other stuff personally, but I have been going to the gym 3-5x per week just to raise the heart rate a bit.

I've been focusing on tabata's and jump rope. I'm finally starting to get the hang of double unders. Last night I did 14 in a row (my PR by 11). So I'm pretty pumped about that.

Starting the workout log up again.

9/27/2009

My shoulder is getting a lot better, I've been taking fish oil and turmeric, and it's gotten to the point lift again, as long as the lifts aren't too shoulder intensive. I won't be snatching 200# anytime soon.

I did a 60 min spinning class

9/28/2009

I started with 500m row, then Burgener warmup (PVC pipe), then I mixed it up between Tabata Kicks, and Double Unders. I finished up with Deadlifts. I started with PVC, then went to an unloaded bar, then did
45x5/95x5/135x5/155x5/175x3/200x5/200x5

The final set of Deadlifts was tough.

9/29/2009

Started with 500m row, then did Burgener warmup (PVC pipe). I'm able to snatch an unloaded bar without pain, but OHS squats with a bar were out of the question. Following that little lesson I did a circuit:

3 sets of:

10 rep Weighted Back Extensions 30#
10 rep Front Squat #45
4m 25s Stationary bike intervals
20 rep Medicine Ball decline situps

following my PWO shake I went into the sauna and massaged my left shoulder. Also, I used a tennis ball on my gastrocnemius under stretch to try to deepen my squat. my ankle flexibility is hilariously pitiful... i have almost no dorsiflexion...

typo, yesterday was 10/2.

8 min tabata intervals on heavy bag
Day 3 Diesel crew with very light subs.
I hung from the pullup bars. Using my feet to increase and decrease the pressure on the bar. 12 reps
for the barbell OH shrugs, i used a PVC pipe. 12 reps
for the pushups, I held a static knee-pushups 12 seconds
posterior capsule stretch was fine.
20# weighted situps 20reps x 3 sets.
