Dan's Log
First time posting on the site, though I've looked through the forum since starting CF. I've been doing CF on and off for about a year now, and I'm about to get serious with it since I've got a better place to work out. I'm starting a log here to get some good feedback, and to help keep myself on track, haha. For the next week while I'm settling in from getting back from the recent deployment, I'm going to be getting my max in most of my Olympic lifts and run times.

Re: Dan's Log
Ok, so first day in, got the first set of maxes and times:
DeadLift: 260# Push Press: 135# 1 Mile: 6m55s Felt pretty good doing the workouts, kinda getting used to the colder weather here in the desert. I think tomorrow I'll do a lap around the 400m track to warm up before jumping in. I also started GNC's Mega Men Extreme Athlete VitaPak. Didn't notice much of a change, but of course I just started today, so we'll see in a week how things are doing. |

Re: Dan's Log
It was a busy day, so no maxes, just a short workout.
Cindy (Modified) As many rounds as possible in 10 minutes of: 5 pullups 10 pushups 15 squats I got 9 rounds, plus 5 pullups, 7 pushups. Could have gotten another two rounds, but I took a break after round 7, and it cost me, because it took some real motivation to get back in it! It's looking like this will be a busy week, but I'm hopeful for some quick ones as long as the gym is open. Here's to hoping! ![]() |

Re: Dan's Log
Hey Dan, props for starting a log.
Stick with it. Get strong man. Especially since your in the military. Your workout times will drop and more importantly you will be that much harder to kill. Stay safe bro |

Re: Dan's Log
Daniel W.: Thanks for the encouragement! It's good to have people pushing you to do your best. The CF Gym we have on base is nice because there isn't a lot of people to fight for equipment against, but there isn't much competition either. Waiting for the rest of the battalion to get back, then things should get more competitive.
I enjoyed reading over your log as well, doing great man, keep it up! So, yesterday I couldn't get to the gym, and I got home too late to even try anything, so I did a double today: one at lunch, the other after work with my wife. Lunch: Thrusters 95-115-125-145-155F-150-155F I was so close to getting 155. I tried again after the WOD, but still couldn't get it. I think next time I'm going to wrap my hands too, because that was ALOT of pressure on my wrists, which I think held me back a bit. Afternoon: Modified Fight Gone Bad SDHP 95#: 20, 14, 15 Box Jumps 17in: 40, 31, 36 Push Press 95#: 6, 7, 6 Burpees: 15, 13, 11 Total Score: 207 Thought I was going to puke after the second round, I guess I shouldn't have had that protein shake right before, haha! My PP is weak, I need a LOT more work on them. Those and my burpees, yeah, all kinds of bad. Keep strong folks! |

Re: Dan's Log
So I walk in and see this LtCol doing the same WOD I was planning on doing, and he was getting ready to leave as I came in. So I told him I'd take what he was using since I was going to use it anyway. He was using what was posted on the site (135 Thrusters, 45 PU), and because I think so highly of myself, I figured sure, why not. I go to do my first thruster, and I thought I was going to die. Then I remembered I only got 150 on the thrusters I did a week ago. Kinda hurt my pride, but I remember why I shouldn't over do it, and to scale to me, not to someone else.
Three rounds, 12-9-6 reps, for time of: 95 pound barbell Thrusters 25 pound weighted Pull-ups I had a kink in my back, making the whole WOD hell for me. Finished in like 12 minutes or so, my watch hit my wrist and stopped recording. No more thrusters for a few day I think, haha. |

Re: Dan's Log
Ok, so I had a nice little thanksgiving, but the only thing I did was three rounds of. 5 HSPU, 10 pushups, 15 squats, and a 200meter run. I felt horrible after that, and it was done on Saturday.
Today: 12-9-6 of: 205# deadlifts HSPUs It felt real good to get back in. First workout of the day, time: 6:35 |
