Aesop Rock - Alchemy (featuring Blueprint)
Gorillaz - Feel Good Inc (Album crossfade)
Murs - Risky Business (featuring Humpty Hump)
Toots and the Maytals - Funky Kingston (featuring Bootsy Collins)
Del the Funky Homosapian - Mistadobalina
Fatboy Slim - Push and Shove
Amon Tobin - Get Your Snack On

The Gorillaz song is from the latest ipod commercical, the Murs song features the return of Humpty (the Humpty dance for you 30+ members). If you can stand still during Bootsy remix of Funky Knigston get to a doctor, your *** is broken.

All off itunes

Bill

Actually, the Gorillaz tune is from their latest CD, called Demon Days. It just came out a couple of weeks ago.

Digital Underground had a couple of sweet records "back in the day".

BTW...check out the video for Feel Good Inc. (that Gorillaz tune) if you want to see some really cool animation. It's bad-assed.

All the Gorillaz videos are done in that style. They're a kind of "virtual band", ie they only appear in animated form (although they are real musicians), and are the brainchild of former Blur frontman Damon Albarn. I like that tune a whole lot less since it was used on the ipod commercial - yes I admit I'm a snob! It still rocks though!

Yup...I know that about the Gorillaz videos...but this one seems "darker" in a way than the others I've seen.

If you like Gorillaz and Del, check out Dan the Automator. He's the main DJ/ Beatmaker for Del and some Gorillaz songs.

And if you like Murs and Aesop Rock, check out Company Flow, Cannibal Ox, or Mr. Lif. All from the same label (Def Jux) and some pretty good (weird) underground rap and beats.

To add to my previous post:

Yes, I used to be "that kid". Had an Afro, wore baggy clothes, freestyled, wore huge boots. It was fun.

Dan the Automater rocks. Check out his work with Kool Keith... Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octagonecologyst. The weirdest damn hip-hop album I've ever heard.
