I got a few bar muscle ups last week with 6kg in a back pack. Plan on working it up to 10kg at least. Body weight 86kg

You will never muscle that through. Strong pull and hop over your shoulders
Roger - That answers a question I had in the back of my head when trying for multiple reps; I always wondered if I should be trying to accelerate on the initial pull and glide through the transition, or as the name implies: MUSCLE up? Grinding through the transition is way more taxing than 'flying'. Thanx. |

BTW- Haven't tried a weighted MU yet, so I'm at 1.00 for 3 reps.
1.39 for a single pullup(+80#), 1.22 (+45#) for 6 reps, really irritates the golfer's elbow...and 1.22 for weighted bar dips is the most I've ever tried, did sets of 5 reps in a workout I'll have to test these when I get home off vacation. |
