Re: December: 20-day 'cindy' challenge (+1 round a day)

Well this challenge has been a bit of a nightmare for me. Somehow I managed to not get a chance to do rounds 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. So last Thursday I started cashing in.

Day 9: 9 + 8 catchup rounds (leaves me 22 behind)
Day 10: 10 + 13 (leaves me 9 behind)
Day 11: 1... (leaves me 19 behind, was a really bad day)
Day 12: 12 + 12 catchup rounds (leaves me 7 behind)

Only 4 of my sets have been done outside of the gym and as such they all have been done in about a 30 minute period. I think I'm now going to push my challenge out to at least 21st (I still have a few things that are really going to interrupt my training between now and Christmas so it will probably be closer to 23rd). That means today I'll do the 7 catchup and tomorrow will be 13 rounds instead of 14.

This challenge has been a fun challenge. Thankfully, I work in a school, and one that has multiple places where I can do the pull ups needed for each day. Funny thing is, the squats are what bring me down the most. They just get mentally wearing after a while. The good thing is that doing this many squats has helped me GtG on my air squats, and they don't feel as quad dominant as they used to. My hamstring flexibility has improved quite a bit too!

way to catch back up! its not easy once you fall behind in challenges like this. i got sick & missed a few days of the 'turkish getup' challenge and i was never able to catch back up. good work!

for me the push ups seem to be the biggest challenge. i kind of knew that coming in since i have been doing alot of barbell training & neglecting my pushups the last few months.

Re: December: 20-day 'cindy' challenge (+1 round a day)

I am off strength training (70s Big style) and back to doing CrossFit. It was rest day at the Main today, so i went to a local affiliate`s website (crossfitai.com (WFS)) and they had Cindy as the WoD!

Got 8 rounds in Rx`d (a personal best - as last time I did the full Cindy WoD I was still jumping on the pull-ups!)

Thats 36 total rounds then....

Re: December: 20-day 'cindy' challenge (+1 round a day)

Couldn't help myself. Did 13 rounds and then another 2 for catch-up, I'm now 5 behind being on schedule. It's taking a bit of a toll though. I've also done another round today, so just 13 to go for todays rounds at the moment...

Re: December: 20-day 'cindy' challenge (+1 round a day)

Well, I haven't done any Cindy since last Friday when I got 10 rounds in. I spent the weekend shoveling snow and really couldn't face Cindy after all that work. I guess I'm out at this point. However we are doing the Cindy WOD next Monday at my affiliate and I think this was good preparation! Plus it helped improve my kipping pullup so I feel pretty good about that.
