Crossfit affiliate teams in competition

I've been watching the live coverage of the CF games 2010 for about an hour now. So far I've seen three heats of affiliate team competition and I'm starting to gain interest in actually competing. It seems that the aesthetic diversity is a bit higher in these team competitions than, say, throughout the men's or women's individual, respectively.

So, my question becomes "Given the following stats, would I make the cut for any team at the games?"

Gender: Male
Age: 21 (Til the 20th)
Height: 5'9"
Weight: 175
40 yard dash: 4.7

Bench: 320
Deadlift: 375
Squat: 405
Power Clean: 230
Pull-ups (strict): 15-20
Push-ups (uninterrupted): 50-60 In two minutes: 110
Two-mile run: 14-15 minutes

I realized that without times for Fran, FGB, and many of the other Crossfit WODs it will be tough to answer this question, but I am fresh out of college and about to move so I only have the resources for bodyweight workouts. Not to mention I'm moving to Tallahassee, FL, where there is no box that I'm aware of to train at.

I guess, more than anything, I'm trying find out how far off I am, because I'd like to set some benchmarks for competing in either affiliate or individual regionals in, say, two years. Doable?

In two years? With hard work, sure.
Right now? Not really.

Your Bench is good, but I don't think they've ever tested Bench Press at a CF-Games event or qualifier.

You need to get that Deadlift up. It will probably in itself help out your Power Clean.

Also, your Squat is relatively high. Usually, when someone not Deadlifting at least 450 has a squat higher than their Deadlift, it's because they aren't squatting to at least parallel.

Thanks. I was just trying to get an idea about some numbers so I have some targets to work towards. Obviously, I know that there are no official numbers that are the end-all and be-all of competing, but numbers make things a bit more "real" when I train.

Mind you, I'm not trying to qualify in two years, just compete and finish the WODs somewhere in the top 2/3 maybe? hah

Re: Crossfit affiliate teams in competition

I would guess the average affiliate male is something like...

Clean & Jerk - 250
Deadlift - 445
Snatch - 185
5k Run - 21:30
Fran - 3:15
Kipping Pullups - 40

Re: Crossfit affiliate teams in competition

To Sum up the affiliate Castro said there was 3 2009 games competitors from team omaha.

Team CFNE, if some members didn't get hurt during the sectionals all of them were in the top ten.

So the level of competition for the Affiliate cup is high.
I would say at some boxes you would have to be an elite crossfiter to make the team.

I run CrossFit Black Box in Tallahassee. I'd love for you to come by once you get settled in town! I'm definitely interested in getting some more hungry people in to train for the affiliate cup over the next year or two.
